the CAYENNE project
has definitively given an ultimate turning in Porsche's revolution
program, which has begun with the 996 and has gone on with the Boxster.
Factory's strategy is expected to complete itself with the model we're
all waiting anxiously, the CARRERA GT, whose production should start in
2003.
Complex market studies say that who owns a supercar, especially a
Porsche, owns also a jeep. As we see, these cars have been developing
continuoslry for last twenty years, and they're become more and more
closer to a sedan car.
This philosphy has its maximum expression in the SUV category: behind a
jeep shape there's a spacious, comfortable and well supplied, good for
all conditions.
In the higher levels where operate BMW, Audi, Lexus and Mercedes, these
products offer the best is expected and it's among them that now there's
the "supercar" of SUV, the Cayenne: an addition with the main
characteristics of a Sport utility, it goes on in remarking the "being
a Porsche" conception.
