When you think about a Porsche, your mind runs with certainty to the symbol of Porsche factory: the 911. It was shown to the public in the far 1963, and from that momentl, this fabolous car, doesn't know what are the infirmities of the great age, and it goes on obtaining an extrordinary success in all over the world, appreciated by enthusiasts and laymen, a car whom you can utilize and show off without the pain of spoiling it (ah, these Germans ! They know how to make a car !), an optimal car to go shopping, or to enjoy oneself along the roads on hills. What could be the secret of its great success ? It's versatility ? An uniqe and unequalled body which reaches the goal of the Forties without having problems of being old and obsolete ? Its fantastic flat-six ? Its driving, very difficult but which gives great satisfaction ? Maybe it's all of these things, but in our opinion, the essence of the car stands in the engine, most of all in the symphony whom it can create ! That's why we've decided to dedicate this site to the flat-six. We don't want to denigrate other Porsches ever builted (914, 924, 944, 968, 928) and if we speak about 911, simply we want to demonstrate our passion about a certain kind of car, and to give a very personal and subjective opinion. After all, the our, is only a great passion and we don't expect to tell the truth, or we have the presuntion to be right. We're sorry with the owners of one of these models, or with Porsche Factory, but we like the flat-six, and we like the 911, sublime example of elegant sportivity, a car which lends itself to every use, with an inimitable body-line whicih is always actual, with a particular and unique charm. It's the 8th wonder.
