Retromobile 2014: in mostra il prototipo della Bugatti Veyron del Salone di Tokio 1999
L’IMMANE SCINTILLA. AL RETROMOBILE 2014, UNO DEI GRANDI APPUNTAMENTI INTERNAZIONALI TRA I SALONI DELL’AUTO STORICA, BUGATTI PRESENTA IL CONCEPT STILISTICO DELLA VEYRON, LA EB 18/4 VEYRON, PRESENTATO AL SALONE DI TOKIO DEL 1999. DA QUEL PROTOTIPO PARTI’ IL PROGETTO VEYRON.
Bugatti presenta al Salone Retromobile 2014 di Parigi (5 – 9 febbraio) il prezioso concept di stile che ha anticipato la Bugatti Veyron.
Si tratta della Bugatti EB 18/4 Veyron, presentata al Salone di Tokio del 1999 e dedicata a Pierre Veyron, pilota ufficiale del marchio di Molsheim e vincitore della 24 Ore di Le Mans del 1939.
Chiusa nel ’65, riaperta alla fine degli Anni 80 su iniziativa dell’imprenditore altoatesino Romano Artioli (e nuovamente chiusa a metà Anni 90 dopo un centinaio tra Bugatti EB 110 ed EB 110 SS), il marchio di Ettore Bugatti fu acquisito a fine millennio dal Gruppo Volkswagen per forte desiderio di Ferdinand Piech e, ancora per suo volere, il progetto Veyron fu varato.
Dopo una serie di innumerevoli problemi (conciliare un V16 quadriturbo con 2 tonnellate di peso e la facilità di guida di una berlina fu più difficile del previsto) nel 2005 la Veyron entrò in listino come, ufficialmente, auto più veloce del mondo.: 1.001 Cv, 407 km/h ,1,2 milioni di euro di prezzo.
