Sì, DAI, NON E’ POI COSI’ MALACCIO. LA NUOVA 911 GT3 (991.2) MIGLIORA DI OLTRE 12 SECONDI IL TEMPO DEL MODELLO PRECEDENTE. PERO’ LE CONCORRENTI… LA MERCEDES-AMG GT R HA FATTO 7’10″92, LA NISSAN GT-R NISMO 7’08″68, LA LAMBORGHINI HURACAN PERFORMANTE 6’52″01.
La Porsche 991.2 GT3, fresca di presentazione a Ginevra 2017, ha stabilito un tempo straordinario sul circuito del Nurburgring, polverizzando la prestazione del modello precedente.
La nuova edizione della 911 stradale più estrema e sportiva, esponente di una genealogia che guarda con ammirazione e orgoglio alla Carrera RS 2.7 del ’73, ha stabilito un tempo di 7’12”.7, migliorando di 12″3 il tempo della 991 GT3.
Le caratteristiche del nuovo modello possono essere così sintetizzate: motore boxer 6 cilindri 4 litri proveniente dalla GT3 Cup, 500 cavalli, asse posteriore sterzante, possibilità di montare il cambio meccanico.
Il giro veloce, condotto dal tester Lars Kern e supervisionato da un notaio che ne fa certificato l’autenticità, si è tenuto a 8 gradi di temperatura atmosferica e 14 gradi di asfalto.
GOOD JOB. IF THERE COULD BE ANY DOUBT ON THE QUALITIES OF THE NEW 991.2 GT3, 12″3 LESS THAN ITS PREDECESSOR IS A MIGHTY RESULT. BUT THIS GREAT PERFORMANCE HAS TO BE COMPARED WITH ITS COMPETITORS: 7’10″92 BY THE MERCEDES-AMG GT-R, 7’08″68 BY THE NISSAN GT-R, 6’52″01 BY THE LAMBORGHINI HURACAN PERFORMANTE.
The new Porsche 991.2 GT3 performed a lap time of 7 minutes, 12.7 seconds on the Nürburgring. At an air temperature of 8 degrees and an asphalt temperature of 14 degrees, the conditions for Porsche test driver Lars Kern were ideal for racing.
The road-approved 911, with specifications similar to its motorsport counterpart, beat the time set by the previous model by 12.3 seconds.
“By achieving this time, we have emphatically proven that the new 911 GT3 not only provides the best driving experience, but can also deliver an impressive performance on the Nordschleife. The focus was on optimising the driving quality and adapting to the slight increase in engine power”, says a delighted Frank-Steffen Walliser, Vice President Motorsport and GT cars at Porsche. “A few years ago, lap times like this could only ever be achieved by thoroughbred racing cars with slick tyres”, adds Andreas Preuninger, Director GT Product Line. “The new GT3 can now achieve this with comparatively modest power, but is still fully suited to everyday use.”
