VICINI NELLA DISTANZA. LE ANTEPRIME DEL SIHH 2018 INIZIANO A CIRCOLARE E, TRA LE ANTICIPAZIONI, VI E’ IL NUOVO VACHERON CONSTANTIN OVERSEAS DUAL TIME. L’OROLOGIO, CON NUOVO CALIBRO DI MANIFATTURA (L’AUTOMATICO 5110 DT), CONSENTE LA LETTURA SIMULTANEA DI DUE FUSI ORARI ED E’ PROPOSTO CON UN BRACCIALE IN ACCIAIO E DUE CINTURINI INTERCAMBIABILI IN PELLE E CAUCCIU’.
Il nuovo modello di Vacheron Constantin Overseas dual time, che verrà presentato ufficialmente in occasione del prossimo SIHH 2018 (Ginevra, 15-19 gennaio 2018), è disponibile in tre versioni: cassa in acciaio, quadrante blu, cassa in acciaio, quadrante argentato (SFr 27,510 o S$ 41,000) e cassa in oro rosa 18kt 5N, quadrante argentato (SFr 46,313 o S$ 66,700).
La cassa (41 mm x 12,8 mm), con la caratteristica lunetta esagonale ispirata alla croce di Malta e anello in ferro dolce per una protezione antimagnetica, ospita il calibro 5110 DT di Manifattura (234 componenti, 37 rubini, massa oscillante Overseas in oro 22kt decorata con la rosa dei venti, 28.800 alternanze/ora, riserva di carica di circa 60 ore). Questo movimento meccanico a carica automatica, grazie alle lancette coassiali, consente di leggere allo stesso tempo due fusi orari. Visibile attraverso il fondello trasparente in vetro zaffiro, offre le indicazioni di ore, minuti, secondi al centro, secondo fuso orario (regolabile tramite la corona), indicazione AM/PM (a ore 9) e datario (a ore 6).
Il quadrante laccato traslucido blu o argentato sfoggia una finitura satinata soleil e rehaut con finitura effetto vellutato. Le lancette delle ore, dei minuti e gli indici sono in oro e riempiti con sostanza luminescente bianca. La lancetta delle ore indica il fuso orario del luogo in cui ci si trova mentre la lancetta con la punta a freccia segna l’ora di un fuso orario di riferimento. Il quadrante a 12 ore è regolabile tramite la corona in ambo le direzioni (posizione 1: ora locale, regolazione indipendente saltante; posizione 2: ora di riferimento, regolazione continua sia dei due fusi che dei minuti) mentre l’indicatore giorno/notte è impostato sull’ora di riferimento e il calendario è regolato e fissato tramite un pulsante a vite a ore 4 e sincronizzato con l’ora locale.
Certificato dal Punzone di Ginevra, quest’orologio, impermeabile fino a 150 metri, è proposto con un bracciale in acciaio con maglie lucide e satinate a forma di mezza croce di Malta e fibbia déployante e due cinturini intercambiabili in pelle di alligatore Mississippiensis blu o nero a grandi squame quadrate con fodera micro perforata in nabuk nero (cucito a mano) e caucciù blu o nero.

THE WATCH, WITH THREE INTERCHANGEABLE BRACELET/STRAPS, IS EQUIPPED WITH THE IN-HOUSE SELF-WINDING CALIBRE 5110 DT ENABLING SIMULTANEOUS READING OF TWO TIMEZONES BY MEANS OF COAXIAL HANDS.
The new Vacheron Constantin Overseas dual time model (41 mm x 12.8 mm), with a six-sided bezel inspired by the emblematic Maltese cross, is available in three versions: stainless steel case with blue dial (Ref. 7900V/110A-B334), stainless steel case with silver-toned dial (Ref. 7900V/110A-B333) and 18K 5N pink gold case with silver-toned dial. The soft iron casing ring ensures anti-magnetic protection.
The watch, Hallmark of Geneva certified and water-resistant to 150 metres, is equipped with an inhouse movement, the self-winding caliber 5110 DT (234 components, 37 jewels, oscillating weight adorned with a wind rose, 28.800 vibrations/hour, twin barrel, 60 hours power reserve, central seconds, second timezone set by the crown, AM/PM indication at 9 o’clock, date at 6 o’clock).
The translucent blue/silver-toned lacquered and sunburst satin finished dial shows facetted and luminescent gold hands and hour-markers.
The hours hand indicates the local timezone corresponding to the user’s current location while the hand tipped with a triangular arrow shows the time in a reference timezone (“home time”). A 12-hour display, adjustable via the crown in both directions (position 1: local time, independent jumping adjustment; position 2: home time, dragging adjustment of both timezones and minutes), along with a day/night indication set to home time, and a pointer-type date display, adjusted and secured via a screw-lock pusher at 4 o’clock and synchronised with local time.
Presented on a stainless steel bracelet with half Maltese cross-shaped polished and satinbrushed links, complete with a comfort-adjustment system, the Overseas dual time is delivered with two additional straps matching the shade of the dial: in blue Mississippiensis alligator leather or rubber, equipped with an equally interchangeable stainless steel folding clasp.
